Afferent Labs

Terms of use

Beta terms

Last updated November 6, 2026

These terms cover Newsletter Agent, run by Afferent Labs at afferentlabs.dev and app.afferentlabs.dev, while it’s in beta. By creating an account you agree to them. If you have questions, email hello@afferentlabs.dev.

The beta

The service is free during the beta. Features may change, and we may pause or end the beta. Before any paid plan starts we’ll email you, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan. These terms will be replaced by full terms before paid plans begin.

Your account

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, to get around its limits, to access other people’s accounts or data, or to use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

AI-generated content

Relevance scores and summaries are produced automatically by an AI model. They can be incomplete or wrong, and they aren’t medical, legal, or other professional advice. Read the original paper before relying on it. Papers belong to their authors and publishers; we link to them and don’t host them.

Model allowance

Each account includes a monthly allowance of model use. When it runs out, digests pause until the next month, and we email you to say so.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add, such as your interests and Journal Club comments. You let us store and process it to run the service for you and your lab.

No warranty

The beta is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Afferent Labs isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for missed or delayed digests.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time by turning off your schedule, and ask us to delete your account at hello@afferentlabs.dev. We may end accounts that break these terms.

Changes

We’ll post changes here and update the date above, and email you about changes that matter.
